Details of the Incident

In a shocking event in Kutch district, Gujarat, a constable from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is accused of killing his live-in partner, a police officer, on Friday night. The authorities were alerted when the suspect turned himself in at the police station where the victim worked the next morning, as reported by local media. The deceased, identified as Aruna Natu Jadav, held the position of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) at the Anjar Police Station.

Circumstances Surrounding the Murder

On the night of the incident, Jadav and the accused, named Dileep Dangachiya, were at their shared residence in Anjar. Following a dispute, Dangachiya allegedly strangled Jadav, according to reports. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Mukesh Chaudhary from the Anjar Division stated, 'Aruna and Dileep met on Instagram in 2021 and had been living together. They had an argument around 10 PM on Friday, which led to the tragic outcome.'

Surrender and Ongoing Investigation

After the incident, Dangachiya went to the Anjar Police Station the following morning and surrendered to the officer on duty. This case has drawn attention to the ongoing issues surrounding domestic violence and relationship disputes.

Related Case of Domestic Violence

In a separate but similarly tragic case, a 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend by slitting her throat with a knife last month after she refused to marry him. The suspect, Samshuddin Mohammed Hafiz, was apprehended by police on June 14. Reports indicate that Hafiz, a chef at a luxury hotel in Mumbai, had been in a tumultuous relationship with 19-year-old Kareena Ali, a bar singer, who wanted to focus on her career before marriage. Their arguments escalated, leading to a violent confrontation where Hafiz fatally attacked Kareena.
